Australian rockers AC/DC released their 1980 album Back in Black. It was the first album to feature Brian Johnson on vocals. Johnson replaced Bon Scott, who passed away earlier that year in February.

The album features several songs that are still played live including “Hells Bells”, “Shoot to Thrill”, “You Shook Me All Night Long”, and the title track.

The album, which was recorded at Compass Point Studios and Electric Lady Studios with producer Robert John “Mutt” Lange, went on to be their best-selling album with an estimated 50 million copies sold to date. This figure makes it the second highest-selling album of all time and the best-selling hard rock/heavy metal album.
