Sleep Token have signed a record deal with Spinefarm Records for the release of their debut album Sundowning. Each of the record’s 12 tracks will be released sequentially as singles every two weeks at sun down Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), all leading up to the official release of November 22nd. The opening number, “The Night Does Not Belong To God”, premiered this past Friday, purchase it here.

The decision to release the record in this manner all ties to the concept of the album. The term sundowning is defined as follows:

“Sundowning, or sundown syndrome, is a neurological phenomenon associated with increased confusion and restlessness in patients with delirium or some form of dementia. The term ‘sundowning’ was coined due to the timing of the patient’s confusion. For patients with sundowning syndrome, a multitude of behavioral problems begin to occur in the evening or while the sun is setting…”
