Welsh doom outfit Mammoth Weed Wizard Bastard dropped a full-album stream of their latest record Y Proffwyd Dwyll, take it in below. Guitarist Paul Michael Davies comments:
“We wanted to push the doom template a bit, especially as Jessica is not your typical female/doom vocalist, we definitely wanted it to be more than your ‘typical doom’. The title is in Welsh (as are the album credits) as we are from Wales. Y Proffwyd Dwyll loosely translates as ‘The False Prophet’ and there is a concept running through the album… worship. However, Jessica never shows us the final lyrics, she’s a bit mysterious, in fact it’s all a bit mysterious, but that’s cool. We like the listener to make up their own stories to the tracks.”
