Psych rock three-piece King Buffalo have announced their debut full-length Orion, which the band are self-releasing on August 5th. Drummer Scott Donaldson said of the effort:
“Orion is the culmination of months of crafting, recording and mixing in our practice/recording space in Rochester, New York. We’ve developed a sound that feels familiar, but is dynamic and unrelenting. As musicians we’ve learned to embrace the hills and valleys of each piece and try to complement it. To finally have these songs available and cut to wax is very exciting. It’s the best stuff we’ve ever done, and we can’t wait for people to hear it.”
The record’s title track is now available for streaming online and can be heard below. Orion pre-orders can be picked up at the group’s Big Cartel and Bandcamp.
