Haken detail new effort Vector

UK progressive sextet Haken have announced that their fifth studio album Vector will arrive on October 26th via InsideOut Music. The record was produced by the band, with Adam “Nolly” Getgood (ex-Periphery) handling tracking and mixing. Charlie Griffiths spoke of the direction of the new record, saying:

“We’ve always had a heavy influence, but it was obvious from the riffs that were naturally coming out of us early in the writing process that this would be a more metal album. These are some of the most riff driven songs we’ve ever written.”

Vector will be available on limited edition 2CD mediabook, 2LP + CD, standard CD jewelcase, and digital. The track listing and cover art can be found below. The band also announced a contest for the etching that will be drawn on the 4th side of the 2LP. Fans are to submit their own Rorschach ink blot art for consideration, and the band will choose which one to be etched. Entries are due by August 10th, view the contest announcement video below for full details.
