Darkadya, a new, multi-volume illustrated book featuring dark, esoteric, occult artists worldwide, is coming out soon! The organizers of the book are hosting an award series dubbed the “Black Stars Awards”, honoring the artists featured in the book. Groundbreaking blood-painting surrealist Vincent Castiglia is already featured as the official Spotlight Artist in tome 1, and fans can vote for Vincent now in the “Fan’s Choice” category via this link. This is the only award that can be voted upon by the fans, so hurry, voting closes on May 22 at 11:58pm Eastern!
Vincent Castiglia is also in the running for the “Master Artist” award. The category winner will be chosen tomorrow by the “Black Stars Awards” judges panel, including representatives from Metal Blade Records, Decibel Magazine, Bloodstock Festival and RAM Museum, as well as Steve Wang and Mike Hill, Hollywood Special Effects artists. Criteria of judgment includes concept, creativity, originality, precision, arrangement and overall impression.
