Betrayal have announced that their new vocalist is Gage Armstrong. Former frontman Brendan Foley had to leave the band for medical reasons concerning his vocal cords. New addition Armstrong spoke of his new role in the band saying:

“I think the lyrical content comes from me looking into my past and truly just being upset and angry. When we were putting together this album I was going through a lot of personal issues with my family and just life in general, so writing really helped me release and come to terms with all the hatred and angst that I had built up inside of me. It helped put things into perspective that my life is ok, and I’m going to be ok.”

Betryal are currently in the studio recording their new album at Maple Studios with Cameron Webb at the helm. So far the band have completed tracking drums and are now moving on to bass and guitars. The currently untitled album is currently looking at a spring release via Mediaskare Records.
