Metal journalist Ramón Martos has started an IndieGoGo campaing to fund a new project, a book called …And Justice For Art. The campaign describes the book as a one-of-a-kind collection of stories, stunning graphics, and revealing interviews about the making of some of the greatest album covers in the history of Heavy Metal music. It includes all the particulars behind artworks as iconic as Slayer’s Reign In Blood, Morbid Angel’s Blessed Are The Sick, Metallica’s And Justice For All, Death’s Symbolic, Carcass Heartwork, Black Sabbath’s 13, Cormorant’s Dwellings, At The Gates’ Slaughter Of The Soul, Testament’s Dark Roots Of Earth, Opeth’s Heritage, Mayhem’s Grand Declaration Of War, and dozens of others. . As with most IndieGoGo campaigns larger contributions get some perks, some of them are digital chapters that won’t be included in the book, t-shirt combos, and other one-of-a-kind options.

This sounds like a really cool project, I love books about metal so this is something I’m going to be looking into. If you’d like to make a donation visit the campaign here.
